Happy Easter from our family to yours.
Our Easter celebration began on Good Friday. Tom, Asher, and I went to church with two other families in our neighborhood. Afterwards, I went home to be with our new puppy, and Tom and Asher went out to dinner with the neighbors.
On Saturday, Tom’s parents arrived from out of town. We visited and then took them to church at 4pm then came home and had dinner.
We got up early on Sunday to get ready to host Easter brunch.
For Christmas, Asher got a ping pong table. In addition to being great fun when we have family gatherings, it also serves as a dining table. Since it lives in the garage, Tom and his dad brought that in the house.
While Cathy worked on her fruit trifle, I set the tables, and got the egg bakes in the oven.
Instead of Easter baskets, I put together boxes for Asher and his sister Lucy. I got them each a jumbo kite, jumprope, swim trunks/suit, summer outfit, toothbrush, and then Asher a Rubiks snake and Lucy a coloring book.
Once everyone arrived, we enjoyed a delicious brunch of egg bake, ham, hash brown potatoes, caramel rolls, and berry trifle together. Everyone contributed to the meal and it was all so delicious.
We played a fun memory/match game. All those eggs on the table (pictured) had money in them. To win you had to find a match. There was $50 dollar bills all they way down to pennies.
Some of the kids took the “chubby bunny” challenge and stuffed as many marshmallows in their mouths as they could.
The adults got a round of cards in while the kids played ping pong and hide & seek. And our new little puppy Gidget got a lot of love and was held by everyone.
It was a fun filled day celebrating our risen Lord and Savior.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” ~ John 3:16
